THE PROBLEM WE SOLVE
San Diego's Afternoon Sun and Salt Air Are Hard on Your House
The thought of a pushy estimator puts you off calling anyone.
If your sliding glass door takes two hands to open, or the rooms that get the afternoon sun never cool down no matter what the thermostat says, you’re not alone. Salt air goes after the hardware, heat goes after the glass, and single-pane windows have no defense against either.
Rooms that fight your thermostat all year, hot by afternoon and cold by morning
Locks that stiffen and rollers that seize in the salt air that get worse every year you wait
Foggy, failed glass that lowers your curb appeal and your home’s value
Same-day pressure from a salesperson you'll never see again, and nobody to call in year three
We've Sat at More Than 10,000 Kitchen Tables. No Pressure, No Handoffs.
We don’t just sell windows. We build our own Hometime windows and sliding glass doors in California and install them with our own crews. The company that builds them is the company that stands behind them.
Built for California Sun
Cardinal Lodz-366 glass reflects the sun’s heat before it reaches the room, and blocks 95% of the UV that fades carpets, furniture and curtains. A 1/2" warm-edge spacer cuts heat transfer at the edge of the glass, where most windows lose it.
Glass That Cleans Itself
Neat+ is a titanium-dioxide layer bonded to the outside of the glass. Sunlight breaks down the dirt sitting on it, and water sheets off evenly instead of beading, so rain carries the dirt away instead of leaving spots. It works through cloud cover too.
A Quieter House, If You Need One
Near the 5, the 15 or the 78? Our Sound Package adds 50% more glass in two different thicknesses, so the panes don’t resonate together and pass noise straight through. Laminated glass is a second option.
Lifetime Warranty - Products and Installation
The company that built your windows is the company that installed them, so it’s one phone call and no runaround. No-hassle, covering both the product and the work.

Every person who builds and installs your windows works here. No subcontractors, ever.

OUR WINDOW STYLES
Seven Styles, Custom-Sized to Every Opening
Every window is built to your exact measurements. Mix styles room by room. All Hometime windows are made in house and carry a lifetime warranty.
Slider Windows
Our most popular replacement. Two-panel (XO/OX) and three-panel (XOX) sliders running on anti-friction composite pads, the track stays clean and oil-free instead of gumming up the way metal rollers do.
Single-Hung & Casement
Classic vertical operation on continuous force balancers, so the sash lifts with almost no effort and stays where you put it. Or a crank-out casement that seals tight against the frame and catches the breeze off the coast.
Picture & Geometric
Fixed picture windows for maximum light and an unobstructed view, plus arched and radius-top geometrics for specialty openings, and picture-over-slider when you want the view up high and the airflow down low.

THEY PATCHED THE DRYWALL
“In talking to other door companies before signing on with Hometime, not all companies were willing to do the necessary patching work to leave a cleanly finished installation.”

NO SALES PRESSURE
"Jeff clearly explained Hometime's products and installation process without heavy-handed salesman tactics. The price quoted was exceptionally fair and less than we had budgeted for."

100 HOURS OF RESEARCH
"Our job was pretty big - 38 windows and a couple of big sliding glass doors. I spent probably 100 hours researching this industry. More than satisfied with the product, and the price ended up being the best of all by more than a little bit."

FROM OUR FACTORY TO YOUR HOME
Built in Our Own Factory.
Installed by Our San Diego Crew.
Most window companies are dealers. They order from a national manufacturer, and hand the installation to whichever subcontractor is free that week. We build your windows at our own factory in Upland, ship them to our San Diego location, and install them with the crew based there. Same company start to finish, and one phone number for the life of the warranty.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Straight Answers for San Diego County
How much does window replacement cost in San Diego County?
Most projects run $600 to $900 per window installed, depending on size, style and glass package. Because we build our own windows, the company that makes them is the company that warrants them, so there is no finger-pointing later. You'll get a clear written price before you decide.
Do you install the windows yourselves?
Yes. Every window is installed by Hometime employees, never subcontractors. Our lead installers started out in our factory, so the person fitting your window learned it on the production line. We protect your floors, haul the old windows away, then clean up and walk the finished work with you.
What warranty comes with the windows?
A full No-Hassle Lifetime Warranty covering both the product and the installation. Because we built your Hometime windows and installed them ourselves, there’s no argument about whose problem it is. One phone call, no third parties, and the same company answers in year fifteen.
Will you have to cut my stucco?
Usually not. Most San Diego homes take a retrofit installation, where the new window seats into your existing frame, so the stucco is never opened and there’s nothing to patch afterward. For additions and full remodels we build new-construction windows that install before the exterior finish goes on.
Are Hometime windows Title 24 compliant?
Yes. Every window meets California's Title 24 energy standards and our products are NFRC certified. The label ships on the glass and comes off at installation, so if you want the exact U-factor and SHGC for your glass package, ask and we'll put the numbers in writing.
What is the "Sound Package"?
A glass upgrade: 50% more glass in two different thicknesses, 1/8" Cardinal Lodz-366 paired with a 1/4" clear pane. Laminated glass is a second option, since its multi-layer construction also helps reduce outside noise. Worth asking about if you’re near the 5, the 15 or the 78.
How long does the whole process take?
Consultations are usually available the same week. Once you approve the proposal, your windows are built to your exact openings at our Upland factory, which typically takes about four weeks from measure to installation. Most whole-home installs finish in a single day.
Do you offer anything besides white?
Yes. We manufacture black windows, and offer premium vinyl finishes in Bronze, Sable, Slate, Universal Brown and Sandalwood. Custom colors are available beyond that range. If you have HOA requirements or you’re matching an existing palette, bring the spec to your consultation and we’ll work from there.

Most window companies buy from a factory. We are the factory.
WHAT CHANGES
What Your House Feels Like After.
The windows do their work all day. You notice it every time you walk into a room.
The street goes quiet.
Dual-pane glass takes out most of what you hear through a single pane today. If you back onto the 5, the 15, or a flight path, the optional Sound Package adds 50% more glass in two different thicknesses.
The rooms stop fighting your thermostat.
Single-pane glass lets the afternoon in and the morning out. Lodz-366 reflects heat before it reaches the room, and a 1/2" warm-edge spacer slows what moves through the edge of the glass in either direction.
The window over the sink opens with one finger.
No shoving, no lifting, no using the heel of your hand. It opens, and it closes and seals without a second push.
Most whole-home installs finish in one day.
SERVICE AREA
Ready for Cooler Summers, Warmer Winters, and
Quiet All Year?
Every year you wait costs you twice.
Once in comfort: single-pane glass keeps letting the afternoon heat in and the morning cold through, season after season. Then again on the window itself: failed seals keep fogging, and a window that is only stiff this year is stuck next year. Nothing about waiting makes the job easier or the house more comfortable. And a window that fails in August is a window you replace in a hurry, from whoever can get there soonest.
